Hey all! Guess who’s back?! Back again. Amanda’s back. Tell a friend. Guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back… No? No takers on some classic Eminem to start your day? I can’t say that I really blame you.

I know I have been gone for a little while — almost 4 months, but who is really counting! So much life has happened in those 4 months. It has been a whirlwind of crazy amazing. Even the things that weren’t so great at the time somehow seem pretty alright now. A few of the highlights:

  1. I got a new job! That’s right folks, I now work in marketing. I have spent 6+ years in school studying health, promoting health, living health and one day woke up and decided, “marketing and advertising? Yeah, I could do that. Let’s try it!” And it has been wonderful! I have already learned so much and can’t wait to see where this road leads.
  2. I did the Whole 30 and lived to talk about it. Truth be told, it really wasn’t that bad. My slightly OCD and planning personality really got to shine and I learned a lot about the ways food affects your body. It sparked a desire in me to find the very best version of myself and live my life in real happiness. It is a journey that has done everything to improve my daily outlook.
  3. I got my first tattoo! Something I have been wanting to do for years, but just never knew what to get that meant enough to me that I would still be happy to look at it when I am 70. Clearly that changed. I went in for a consultation and came out with a tattoo and I love it! For me, it is a constant reminder that each choice is my own. That I am in control of my life, my actions, and it is up to me to make each day beautiful. Ultimately, it tells me that it is always better to wear out then rust out (my Grandma’s mantra, which has always stuck in my head and empowered me to always keep going, even when I want to fall down.)
I'm Back!
A lot of life can be lived in 4 short months

That about sums up my 4-months. Like I said, crazy amazing whirlwind!

So I am making it my goal, with each and every person that reads this sentence, to post 2 times a week. Things may look a little different this time. I don’t promise that it is always going to be fancy or be pretty, but it will always be real life. And it will always be edible!

I love this blog and I have missed it. A lot has happened in my little hiatus, but I’m back baby! Woo-hoo!
